Calciomercato.com, citing Sky Sport, reports that Napoli coach Massimiliano Allegri is dissatisfied with sporting director Giovanni Manna’s transfer work. Allegri reportedly wanted Gabriel Jesus to add a second striker alongside Rasmus Højlund and enable greater tactical flexibility, but Napoli’s attempt to sign the Arsenal forward stalled over the player’s wage demands. The report says the club considered those financial expectations beyond its parameters. Napoli made limited changes to the squad during the summer window, selling Romelu Lukaku and Gutierrez while signing Favasuli and bringing in Chelsea defender Benoît Badiashile on loan. With Højlund and returning striker Lorenzo Lucca available, Allegri has so far mainly used a 4-3-3 formation.
