BBC Sport reports that Declan Rice is close to reaching an agreement on a new long-term contract with Arsenal. The proposed deal would keep the England midfielder at the club, although the source does not say that the contract has been formally signed or announced. Rice’s current club is identified as Arsenal, and no financial details are provided. The report therefore points to advanced negotiations over an extension rather than a completed renewal.
