Get Italian Football News reports that Inter have begun working on a possible contract renewal for Carlos Augusto. The Serie A club reportedly faced some uncertainty around the defender’s situation during the summer but now wants to secure his long-term future. Initial contact has already been made, although the available information does not indicate that an agreement has been reached. Carlos Augusto is described as having already played a part for Inter, while the report focuses on the club’s efforts to keep him beyond his current arrangement. The story concerns ongoing renewal discussions rather than a completed contract extension.
Update (X – @FabrizioRomano): Fabrizio Romano reports that Inter are making progress in negotiations to extend Carlos Augusto’s stay at the club beyond summer 2028. The Italian side intends to reach an agreement with the Brazilian left-back before the end of the year. The discussions concern a new contract with Inter rather than a potential transfer to another club, and no financial details have been reported.
