Calciomercato.com reports that Inter are monitoring Fulham defender Calvin Bassey ahead of the next summer transfer window. The Nigeria international is approaching the final stage of his contract with the London club, which reportedly has an option to extend the agreement by one year. Fulham want to retain the 26-year-old, while Bassey is assessing his options and could potentially leave on a free transfer, allowing him to agree a move with a new club from January. Inter have tracked the versatile defender since last winter and value his physical strength, distribution and ability to play centrally, as a left-sided centre-back or at left-back. Fulham signed Bassey from Ajax in July 2023 for more than €20 million.
