Inzaghi reflects on Inter years, Champions League final and Lazio struggles

In an interview with Il Giornale, Al-Hilal manager Simone Inzaghi looked back on his four years at Inter, saying the club’s finances were ‘close to collapse’ during his tenure but that he never used it as an excuse. He expressed regret over the 2023 Istanbul Champions League final, stating Inter deserved more against ‘the strongest team of the last decade’. Inzaghi also admitted that the current situation at Lazio causes him sadness, while leaving the door open to a future return to European football.
