John Murtough joins Birmingham as football director

BBC Sport reports that Birmingham City have appointed John Murtough as the club’s new director of football. Murtough previously held a senior football role at Manchester United, where he served as the club’s football chief. The move represents a change of club for the former Manchester United executive, who will now take up a leadership position at Birmingham City. The report presents the appointment as completed, rather than as a developing possibility.
