Calciomercato.com reports that Juventus are considering offering Nico Gonzalez a contract extension after changing their stance on the Argentine forward. Gonzalez had previously been viewed as a potential departure and reportedly wanted to return to Atlético Madrid, where he worked with Diego Simeone, but no transfer materialised. Since then, he has made a positive impact under Luciano Spalletti, scoring after coming off the bench against Parma and also impressing during the match against Milan. His versatility across the attack and Juventus’ injury problems could give him an increasingly important role. La Stampa says Gonzalez is open to extending, while Juventus are assessing a renewal despite his current deal running until 2029.
