Manchester United and Arsenal eye Igor Matanovic

BBC Sport reports that Manchester United and Arsenal are among the clubs interested in Freiburg striker Igor Matanovic. The Croatia international is also attracting attention from another Premier League side, although the report does not identify that club. The item appears in the outlet’s Sunday gossip roundup, which also mentions Juventus’ interest in Liverpool defender Giovanni Leoni and Newcastle’s willingness to allow Joe Willock to leave in January. No offer, agreement or fee is reported for Matanovic, so the situation remains at the interest stage. Freiburg are the only club clearly identified as his current team in the report.
