Get Spanish Football News reports that Liverpool’s attempt to sign Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal has failed. The Premier League club had hoped to land the young player, but those plans have been ended by confirmation that Bernal has agreed to a new long-term contract with Barcelona. The report does not provide details of the contract’s duration or financial terms. Bernal will therefore remain at the Catalan club rather than move to Liverpool, according to the source.
