Massimiliano Allegri under pressure as Napoli crisis deepens

Calciomercato.com reports that Napoli’s difficult start has placed coach Massimiliano Allegri under growing pressure, although the article stresses that he is not the only factor behind the team’s problems. Napoli lost 2-0 to Juventus in Turin, suffering their sixth defeat in 13 official matches and their fourth in 10 league games, leaving them on 14 points. The club is described as having its worst Serie A start of the Aurelio De Laurentiis era, with injuries, the summer transfer market and wider club management all cited among the possible causes. Allegri still has time to reverse the trend, but failure to do so soon could put his position at risk.
