Mikel Arteta in talks over new Arsenal contract

According to Mario Cortegana, Arsenal are continuing discussions over a new contract for manager Mikel Arteta. The process is being led by Richard Garlick, with involvement from sporting director Andrea Berta and the club’s ownership. Talks have reportedly been ongoing since last season, although the source does not indicate that an agreement has been reached or that a new deal has been officially signed. The report also mentions interest from Enrique Riquelme in Arteta as a potential Real Madrid coach, but provides no further details on any formal approach or negotiations involving the Spanish club. Arteta therefore remains the central figure in the contract discussions at Arsenal.
