Calciomercato.com reports that Lazio left-back Nuno Tavares is attracting renewed attention after a strong return to form. Lazio coach Gennaro Gattuso has placed him alongside Paris Saint-Germain defender Nuno Mendes in terms of quality, while also noting that Tavares has lacked consistency throughout his career. The Portugal international was linked with Milan, Porto, Besiktas and clubs from the Gulf during the summer, but none of those possibilities developed into a transfer. Lazio reportedly valued Tavares at around €20 million, although his improved performances and contract running until 2029 could now push his market value higher. The club would also owe Arsenal 40% of any future resale.
