Unai Emery close to new Aston Villa contract

BBC Sport reports that Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is nearing an agreement on a contract extension with the club. The update concerns Emery’s continued role at Aston Villa rather than a move to another team. No details about the length of the proposed extension, salary, release clause or timing have been provided. As the new contract has not yet been officially confirmed, the situation remains at an advanced stage.
